Besides local and world news, it also has other sections such as Kidz, Arts, Glitz (Entertainment), Tech[nology] etc. Recently, I got an opportunity to write on its Technology page. I think its worth writing on an online newspaper which is widely known and popular.
My writing life started with Bangla blogging. I was addicted in writing. I don't know why I find self-satisfaction in writing. So, I continued. I am a tech-lover person so I used to write technology articles on my Bangla blog. Later, I found myself much more interested in English and started English blogging in wordpress.com. I was not active in English blogging as I don't feel comfortable while writing something in English. Yet I never even think to give up. I have confidence that endless practice will make me frequent and perfect one day. Believing in that, I still write English blog posts on several blogging platforms. I blog seriously on Technology niche on my own domain, http://www.aisajib.com Please have a look (and then try to be regular
Anyways, coming back to the point. Someone called my elder brother and asked if I agree to become a technology writer [in Bangla language] on bdnews24.com technology page. My brother called me instantly. But, I was not at home then. I was in school and cell phones are restricted in my school. So, after coming back from the school, I gave my brother a miss call and he called me back. Before I had asked anything, he told me that I have an opportunity to write for bdnews24.com's technology section/page. I was surprised. I said, of course, I will write on bdnews24 technology. He then gave me a cell number and asked me to call that number.
After a little while, I called that person and he asked if I have time to pay a visit to bdnews24.com's office. I said the time when I am free to go there. He then gave me another number of Feature Editor of bdnews24.com and asked me to call that number. I did. And Feature Editor asked me to visit him at his office.
I managed some time to visit bdnews24.com. Around mid-day, I went out of my home and through bus I reached the 27th Road of dhanmondi. Perhaps you know that Dhanmondi is a place where rich people live. But, I found it worse than our area. Lots of cars, millions of horns, and huge traffic jam made me angry! Anyway, finally I reached bdnews24.com.
On the 3rd floor of ETC building at Dhanmondi 27, bdnews24.com lives! I visited the office. It was neat and smart. I liked the office. It's my new working place. But, I'm not going to go there everyday. I can go, but coming back from dhanmondi around afternoon to evening is like transporting between one hell to another. So, I said, I'll try to send news via Email but I can't reach office everyday. Indeed, it will be impossible for me to renew my Grameen Phone unlimited internet connection on the next month unless I get some money from somewhere. I don't know what's going to happen when I won't have internet connection at home.
Alright, coming back to the point. I came out of the office at 4.30PM considering that I'll have to reach my house before the sun sets. The sun sets at around 8PM [GMT+6+DST1hr]. But, you know what happened? I reached my home at around 8.15PM. Don't think I was eating ice-cream at a restaurant or went out on a date with a girl. I was waiting for a bus. No one even expects a seat in a bus at that time. So, I was trying if I can keep my feet on any bus running towards my home. Oh, sorry! No bus was running, actually. They were moving slowly. Huge traffic jam that you can never even imagine. After waiting two and a half hours for a bus, I got a chance to put my feet inside a bus and I didn't miss that. I was standing at the gate of the bus and I stood right there all the time. When I reached my destination, I just stepped ahead and I'm out of the bus. Yes, I had no luck of getting inside the bus!
But, thanks to the almighty, it didn't take five or six hours to get that bus. It's possible that one waits for a bus as much as six hours of time. It is Bangladesh. All deadly and evil, unimaginable and impossible things are regular affairs here.
